The H2FUTURE research programme organizes Hydrogen Research Day 2025 at the University of Oulu. This year´s main themes are:
- catalysis in hydrogen value chain;
- societal and economical aspects in hydrogen transition, and;
- hydrogen in industrial processes.

12 February 2025 - Hydrogen Impact Forum: Nordic Collaboration for EU Transition
Hydrogen Impact Forum: Nordic Collaboration for EU Transition brings together different stakeholders from the Nordic countries and discuss social acceptance of local hydrogen projects in Hydrogen Impact Forum round tables. The round tables for Sweden and Norway will be conducted in advance, and the results will be presented at the event. Finland’s roundtable discussions will take place on-site before the event begins.
Key challenges from each round table are presented to a business panel. Outcome of their discussion is commented by policymakers from Norway, Sweden, Finland. Academic institutions observe what kind of impacts hydrogen development has(had) and draw conclusions that later will be delivered as policy recommendations.

12 February 2025 - BotH2nia Field Tour: Hydrogen Industry Sites in the Oulu Region
On this afternoon bus tour of Oulu, you will explore the areas where the hydrogen industry is being built in this decade and where new hydrogen companies may locate in the future. The status of BotH₂nia members' hydrogen projects elsewhere in northern Finland will be reviewed.

13 February 2025 - Northern Power
Northern Power will bring together hundreds of international industry leaders, innovators, researchers, and policymakers to discuss the future of hydrogen energy in the Nordic region.
The third edition of Northern Power will focus on presenting the brightest Nordic hydrogen projects and learnings of real-life hydrogen cases in Arctic Nordics. TOP-10 hydrogen projects from the Nordic countries will be showcased. To understand how the global hydrogen markets are evolving, the most up-to-date greetings from leading international hydrogen experts across the hydrogen value chain will be shared.
