Innovations in hydrogen technologies have led to opportunities for hydrogen to potentially play a significant role in meeting international energy and climate goals. In 2022, the International Energy Agency (IEA) released its Global Hydrogen Review on hydrogen production and demand worldwide, including infrastructure development, trade, policy, regulation, investment, and innovation. IEA also released the first-ever Northwest Europe Hydrogen Monitor to provide an update on the development of renewable and low-emission hydrogen markets in the region.
